3. Political Advocacy Without a Choice: Highlighting African American Political Social Workers: This course highlights the political action and leadership of early African American social workers and the fight for systematic change. ($11.98)
4. Black Kids Matter: PlayBased Strategies to Support Black Youth Experiencing Racial Trauma: Participants will leave this workshop with an awareness of play themes associated with racial trauma in Black youth and creative play therapy interventions to support Black youth experiencing racial trauma in any playroom and beyond.
2. NTU Training: NTU psychotherapy is based on the core principles of ancient African and Afrocentric world view, nurtured through African American culture, and augmented by concepts and techniques of Western psychology. NTU psychotherapy is spiritually based and aims to assist people and systems to become authentic and balanced within a shared energy and essence that is in alignment with natural order.
3. BIPOC Brain Spotting: a type of counseling that uses brainspotting to help Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) heal trauma and other emotional and mental health challenges.
4. EMDR Therapy with an Afrocentric Critical Race Perspective: Utilizing an Afrocentric Critical Race perspective, case studies of African American clients who received EMDR are critically examined. Emphasis is placed on clinician positionality in alleviating oppression-based trauma and clinical implications for promoting anti-oppressive EMDR practice with African American clients.
2. National Association of Black Social Workers: A community of black social workers who are committed to enhancing the quality of life and empowering people of African ancestry through advocacy, human services delivery, and research.
3. Association of Black Psychologist: A communiyt of black psychologist, scholars, practitioners, students, artists, activists, and visionaries dedicated to the well-being of people of African descent.
